Purpose Of The Project The focus group study is one module of a comprehensive program to ascertain and address concerns and needs of the different functions of Northern Hospital of Surry County (NHSC), build commitment and loyalty of personnel, improve communication, and build teamwork skills of hospital administration and management. The goals of the focus group study were (1) to ascertain the concerns, needs, and issues important to the different groups in the hospital in order to determine how best to address them, (2) to determine the extent of dedication and loyalty of personnel to the hospital and how they can be strengthened, and (3) to facilitate communication between staff and hospital administration and among various functions of the hospital and to determine how communication can be improved.
