As an intervention process, coaching can prevent a potential high performer from derailing and causing significant disruption and loss to the organization.
Interventional coaching begins with a meeting with the individual’s leader to confirm needs. The coach, the individual and the leader meet together to establish goals and objectives of coaching program.
The interventional coaching process then includes:
- Administration and interpretation of carefully selected assessment materials.
- Implementation of in-depth coaching regularly on a weekly or biweekly basis.
- Creation of a plan to address goals and objectives. Periodic meetings are held with the individual’s direct leader, the individual and the coach to ensure that progress is being made.
